Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama inaugurated the launching of 116 new Transjakarta fleets. This additional bus aims to improve public service in terms of transportation.

"The Board of Directors has been working very nice. Since beginning, I say the best bus in the world is in Jakarta," he expressed, Wednesday (10/19).

In future, according to him, Transjakarta will directly serve the entire bus route. Thus the people can switch from private vehicle.

Transjakarta Director, Budi Kaliwono disclosed, by doing so, Transjakarta already has 1,347 buses. In 2017, it is targeted to touch more than 3,000 buses.

"Our new bus from various brands and sizes will be operated on the new route that requires additional fleet," he stated.

Transjakarta also launches two buses type Vintage Series to recall the glory and contribution of PPD in serving transportation in the city. It is hoped able to give experience and nostalgia for the passenger.

"Additionally, the number of passenger continues to increase. This is responded by improved quality of service," he finished.
